Quieting the Soul

Sometimes there is this feeling of unrest that we can't explain. A feeling of constantly battling everything around us. Just to get up in the morning feels like a battle. There are probably all kinds of names that has been put to this feeling but the fact remains we are tired, stressed out, burned out people. Deeper than physical and emotional, this tired goes beyond our bones and our minds all the way to our soul.
I found myself saying several times a day, I'm so tired. It took a while but I finally realized that I had reached the end of my energy, I was in danger of imploding and some serious changes had to be made if even for a little while.
There is never a good time to re-evaluate one's life. Never a time to really take a step back when we are constantly moving forward but sadly if we don't all too soon our lives could be cut short and everything we have wanted to do but didn't will be lost forever.
Now is a good time. Taking a step back to nourish your mind, body and soul could actually save your life. Even if it's hiding out for a couple of days, shutting the world out and reconnecting to our soul source.
"Surely I have composed and quieted my soul; like a weaned child rests against his mother, my soul is like a weaned child within me" (Psalm 131:2).
Taking some time everyday whether it be morning or night to plug into our main source of strength is crucial to our well being.
Be blessed!!
